Bill also attended the Arts Student League in New York. Upon completing his studies in New York he moved to Houston, where he still lives and works, to become the protégé of Lajos Markos. Kalwick’s vivid palette and impressionistic style combine beautifully to showcase his largely South American and European subject matter. He is also a highly sought after commission portrait artist.

CLASS DESCRIPTION: This is a five day intensive workshop designed for the beginning/moderate artist to the professional, with instructional work designed for each experience level. There will be indoor class instruction & exercises,Individual teaching,lots of paint time Indoors and out. Class exercises will cover seeing color, value, shape, form and composition. You will learn valuable tools on how to gather information to produce a large studio painting. This will include painting on location, using photos as reference, and drawing. She is a gifted and creative instructor. You will be delighted if you attend her workshop. Morgan Samuel Price Plein Air Workshop Description The Morgan Samuel Price Workshop is designed to provide each artist with an intensive course of study. The daily painting demonstrations are geared to the topic of the day. The morning demonstrations are followed by a break for lunch and time for the participating artist to select what they wish to paint. If the weather is uncomfortable the artists will be in the studio. The artists paint for the afternoon and gather for critique at the end of the day. The critiques are informative and encouraging. Individual help takes place during the afternoon each day. Morgan visits with each artist one on one. If you need answers this is a great time to ask! Morgan’s excitement is infectious and her sense of humor is always in tact. She is genuinely interested in your success. Ask all the questions about painting you wish!
